Jochen Huber

Dr. Jochen Huber is an SUTD-MIT postdoctoral fellow in the Augmented Senses Group at SUTD and the Fluid Interfaces Group at MIT Media Lab. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and degrees in both Mathematics and Computer Science, all from Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany.

Jochen’s research is situated at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design and Multimedia. His work is particularly concerned with the design and study of immersive user interfaces that seamlessly integrate physical and digital artifacts. Drawing upon methods from sociology and psychology, he focuses on the development of an empirically grounded holistic understanding of technology use in real-world settings to foster rich user experiences.

His work mainly embraces the areas of mobile, tangible & body-based interaction, human & sensory augmentation, multimedia technologies and interactive installations.

See Jochen’s personal homepage for a comprehensive overview of projects and a full publication list.
