Moritz Messerschmidt

Moritz is a PhD candidate at the Augmented Human Lab (AHLab) located within the Auckland Bioengineering Institute (ABI) of the University of Auckland (UoA). He received his Master's and Bachelor's Degree in computer science from the RWTH Aachen University in Germany. Within his PhD, he follows his passion for conducting human-centred research in the field of human-computer interaction (HCI) along with his strong interest in the area of haptics.
He is working towards his vision of a more intuitive and effective augmentation of our sense of touch by providing haptic feedback through unobtrusive wearable interfaces directly on the human body.

In his spare time, he likes to go climbing, compose music and unleash his creativity.
