Rivindu Weerasekera

Rivindu is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Auckland. He holds a first class honors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Auckland. His research interests focus on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Intelligent Transporation Systems.
He has previously sat on the Return on Science Committees (ICT and founding member of the Momentum Investment Committee) and was the former COO of the Velocity Entrepreneurship Programme. He is also one of the co-founders of Hypebeat - a music tech startup. He is passionate about Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Artificial Intelligence.
