In the project PhantomTouch, we aim to recreate natural touch sensations on human skin. Fundamentally, PhantomTouch is a prototype based on lightweight and stretchable plaster matrix of Shape-Memory-Alloys (SMA). The current prototype is attached to the forearm and recreates touch illusions by deploying subtle shear forces on the skin.
